Attending fashion shows is one of the most fun parts of Fashion week. For 5 hot summer nights, Mercedes-Benz puts out some of the most exciting and fun filled fashion shows at the Raleigh Hotel in South Beach. Bikini clad models strut the runway and the music electrifies the audience.

Here is a Recap of Monday’s Shows:

DiNeila put on a press show riddled with new and fresh takes on successful silhouettes we’ve come to love by the designer. In attendance were model Chrissy Teigen who co-designed some of the collection along with her superstar boyfriend John Legend. Prints were high voltage as were the solids. Embellishments really went the extra mile, ranging from sequins to hand sewn flowers.

Peruvian line Aguaclara made its first appearance at Mercedes-Benz Fashion week and they brought it on like pro’s. The always popular line debuted its 2012 with styles like no other designer on the runway. Grommets, embroidery and wild prints invaded the show. Signature one pieces were a SWB favorite, including an asymmetrical bandeau that caught our eye.

The Kooey show was in attendance not only by Miss Teen USA Danielle Doty but also Cheetah Girl, Adrienne Bailon. Can you say ‘Star Power’? The collection was abundant in color, anywhere from coral to silver. Metallics and jewel tones dominated the spectrum. From bikinis to one pieces, the line showed contemporary and refined.

Cubanita inspired Nicolita showed for the second time at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, Curvy, sexy, and ready to jet set. Celebrity models included Cheetah Girl, Adrienne Bailon. The collection featured fresh lines and gorgeous colors. Favorites included ruffle bootie bottoms to give us the Latina curves we all wish we had.

We closed the evening with model-turned-designer Sonia Vera. Known for her globe trotting inspiration, the 2012 collection stepped it up a notch. Beautiful rose and earth tones were a favorite color palate. Global meets Glamour.

After a show with a ton of latin vibe, Nicolita designer Nicole Di Rocco proudly walks the runway.
